The enneagram personality test has seemingly become very popular in Christian circles. At least a subset of our protestant members are pushing back on this fad citing its occultic roots and gnostic theology. With the recent episode on the dangers of Yoga, it seems the enneagram would also fall into a similar category. In your opinion, are there any dangers in using the enneagram as as tool / source of personality information?
Hello Father, I know someone who had trouble remembering something. They invoked their guardian angel for help, and within a minute or two they remembered what they had forgotten. Coincidence---or would that be an example of their holy guardian interceding for them in the moment in their daily life? Another example is that this person was in a dilemma facing two bad choices. He invoked his guardian angel for help, and probably within an hour or so a thought, idea came to him that seemed good that helped him be more diligent, get out of the bind as if to be illuminated, guarded from the danger of the dilemma between two bad choices. Would that also be an example of good devotion to their guardian angel in which their angel did intercede for them, or perhaps it was just a coincidence? Wishful thinking? Is this kind of similar to the times you mentioned when you had asked God for actual graces to bring to your mind a good thought you needed in the moment, say about a particular saint or relic? What is healthy and good devotion to our guardian angels in asking them to light, to guard, to rule, and to guide in our daily lives as we go about our day?
Hi Father, I have a question in regards to the blessing of religious items. If I purchase medals of saints, rosaries etc, you normally need to get these blessed by a priest. However if I touch these items to 1st class relics in my local church, would I still need to get these items blessed by a priest? I am blessed to have the first class relics of St. Andrew, St. Faustina, St. Felip Neri and also the True Cross.
