I have a relic stone of St. Michael that I keep safe in my satchel of the Holy Name of Jesus and wear it around my neck at all times. I have committed mortal sin while wearing, did this action break the blessings that come through this relic? Do I need to get it blessed because of my actions that were mortal or does it still retain the blessings and protection when I first received the relic stone? I have been told several times that I am scrupulous but what to ask for the sake of peace of conscience.
Hello! I have always wondered if it’s ok to let my children participate in Halloween activities, aka trick or treating, dressing up, attending parties. It’s so immersed in the culture that it’s hard to avoid it. Even in my kid’s catholic school they have a festival… don’t know how to approach this!
Howdy - Love the show...You didn't mentioned the generational curse that Jesus put on the current generation in Jerusalem, in Matthew 23:31. Doesn't this mean that generational curses are not just an Old Testment thing? "Thus you witness against yourselves, that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers. 33 You serpents, you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to hell?[f] 34 Therefore I send you prophets and wise men and scribes, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from town to town, 35 that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of innocent Abel to the blood of Zechari′ah the son of Barachi′ah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar. 36 Truly, I say to you, all this will come upon this generation." Thanks- Ray
Hi! I really love the show, thank you for your work. I wanted to ask if I, as a lay person, am able to make 3rd class relics? There is a Catholic museum in my Archdiocese, and they have some relics in a glass showcase. If so, do I have to use a special prayer or formula? Could I do it through the glass? Thank you. Praying for you.
Fr. Martins I love the podcast. Thank you for making this info public and readily available. I was raised a United Methodist. I left the Methodist Church when I met an incredibly devoted and devout Southern (U.S.) Baptist Brother/Pastor. He, himself, had one grandmother that was Baptist and another that was Pentacostal. I shall eternally be incredibly thankful for Fr. Chad Ripperger's creation of the Auxilium Christainorum!!!!! I was freed by saying the A.C.'s prayers the FIRST time. Praise Abba Yahweh, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit!!!!! I had prayed for gifts from the Holy Spirit for eight years. Such a beautiful miraculous gift I received!!!! We Christians all can learn from each other. I truly embrace this, deeply. We need to unite. Jesus Christ' last wish was that His flock would remain whole, together with single minded action and focus. We know a divided house won't stand..... When are we going to get together? Do we have to be brought to the point of public persecution before we cling to each other? I have so much thanks giving for what God has done for me. Through the Christian Church that taught me in Sunday School and choir practice. Through the love and acceptance displayed by the Methodists. Through the deep devotion of the Southern Baptist to God's Holy Word. And, to the FREEDOM made possible through the Roman Catholic Church. The original Church. How do we unify?
